Product Description


The Mocha Storm Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is a popular, hardy, captive-bred designer variant known for its unique mocha/coffee-brown body with striking, exaggerated milk-white barring and a white face, often with unique blotches, making it great for beginners and experienced aquarists. As omnivores, they eat meaty and plant-based foods, are reef-safe, peaceful (though females can be territorial), and thrive in saltwater tanks with or without host anemones like Bubble Tip Anemones.


Appearance & Genetics

Coloration: A blend of orange-brown (mocha) with intense white markings, resembling brewed coffee and milk.

Pattern: Features exaggerated, sometimes cross-like, white bars, unique to each fish.

Origin: Created by crossing Black Storm and bright orange Ocellaris lines.


Care Requirements

Tank Size: Minimum 20-30 gallons, suitable for nano tanks.

Water Parameters: Stable saltwater (Salinity 1.023-1.025, Temp 72-78°F, pH 8.1-8.4).

Tank Mates: Reef-safe, peaceful, good with corals and inverts.

Hosting: Will accept host anemones like Bubble Tip Anemones.


Diet

Omnivorous: Accepts flakes, pellets, frozen mysis, and brine shrimp.


Temperament

Hardy & Adaptable: Excellent for beginners.


Social: Can be kept singly or in pairs; females can become territorial.
